Call with Seven lasted for an hour as we just chatted about past bikes and bike shit for ages. Was nice to speak to someone new for the first time in months!
Things still up in the air:
Neil, the frame designer at Seven wants to query a couple of the measurements with Craig, who completed the fitting and frame drawing. He said Craig's drawings generally need very little work, but he might change the headtube angle from 70.5 to 71.5. This will result in a tiny bit more toe overlap. However, my current Axiom's front center is 555mm. By steepening the headtube angle to a more normal 71.5, my front center will still be in the range of ~575mm which is far better from a toe overlap perspective than the current Axiom. This is good as I was slightly worried about the aesthetics of a headtube as slack as 70.5 degrees.
100% confirmed details are:
1 1/8th
Enve fork
We downgraded drivetrain stiffness to a 7 from an 8 (I'm overweight at the moment and he said as I lose weight I will probably find that perception of stiffness creep up to an 8 anyway as the lighter you are the stiffer a frame feels)
No paint
Changed black decals to clear with white outline
Paid an extra $26 for a bead blasted Seven seat post clamp cause they look great on Ti IMO:
He said once I get the frame drawing back next week and once it's approved, it takes 2-3 weeks to build a frame only build. Decent. Cannot wait. The process thus far has been stellar.
