Well, yes and no. They aren’t always landing, and the weather’s been reasonably sensible, so not particularly awkward. The RAF have training requirements to conduct approaches at civvy aerodromes, and the airport has a desire to keep ATC in practice so we’ve been glad to have them in (not that we don’t work hard to accommodate them normally). The public seems to enjoy seeing them as well, so it’s a win all round.
Been seeing them in to LBA. By all accounts they are using the capacity for training flights due to it being an awkward airport to land at.
