Of course discounting good job number news and coming out of pandemics that killed 100k makes for a better story.
1-2% isn't massively out of the norm, so picking the middle two to bolster the story is quite lame.
Cause or coincidence, we'll never really know, but stating it like it's a given is shitty and certainly won't help the current feelings.
