Yup, I rate it - ridden for a few years, stuffed it in an old steel frame so scratched most of it but it’s grand and the clamp works great (it’s a bit on the heavy side being all aluminium) here it is compared to the moots...

Cool. Thanks for that. Finish doesn't look dissimilar to Seven's finish. Will pick one up.

👍🏻 Their stems are decent as well... may as well buy one at the same time and sell on for the same money if it’s not to your liking?

The PMP is classy, they can be had 2nd hand on eBay for about £50 as well... as they’ve been around longer most seem to have been cut down short to fit frames with a horizontal TT

I did consider PMP but it has to be inline for the fit data to be correct, especially considering I'm gonna be using a PRO Stealth saddle which has no nose.
I am def gonna go black stem so won't bother with the Ti stem.
Edit: didn't realise they made an inline. Still. Actually prefer the J&L aesthetics.

Fairplay, had a PMP in-line but the mechanism was a faff, similar to the USE posts with the ‘bolt through the neck’ aesthetic - Once setup it was fine but wouldn’t go there again...

Another example of PMP, I loved it in my bike.

Call with Seven lasted for an hour as we just chatted about past bikes and bike shit for ages. Was nice to speak to someone new for the first time in months!
Things still up in the air:
Neil, the frame designer at Seven wants to query a couple of the measurements with Craig, who completed the fitting and frame drawing. He said Craig's drawings generally need very little work, but he might change the headtube angle from 70.5 to 71.5. This will result in a tiny bit more toe overlap. However, my current Axiom's front center is 555mm. By steepening the headtube angle to a more normal 71.5, my front center will still be in the range of ~575mm which is far better from a toe overlap perspective than the current Axiom. This is good as I was slightly worried about the aesthetics of a headtube as slack as 70.5 degrees.100% confirmed details are:
1 1/8th
Enve fork
We downgraded drivetrain stiffness to a 7 from an 8 (I'm overweight at the moment and he said as I lose weight I will probably find that perception of stiffness creep up to an 8 anyway as the lighter you are the stiffer a frame feels)
No paint
Changed black decals to clear with white outline
Paid an extra $26 for a bead blasted Seven seat post clamp cause they look great on Ti IMO:He said once I get the frame drawing back next week and once it's approved, it takes 2-3 weeks to build a frame only build. Decent. Cannot wait. The process thus far has been stellar.

Do you have any photos of this bike without someone riding it? I'm a bit obsessed with it.

You should come visit the 7 factory, it’s close enough to me that I’ll take you for a ride!
PS tell Craig that Alexi from WheelWorks (friends with Ricky) says hi!

Maybe one day once the country opens back up! I’d really love to. Unfortunately when I was in New York for 18 months, the only major city we visited outside of NY on the East Coast was DC.
Ps love your cp thread.

J&L Ti seatpost ordered. Also ordered one of the Sim Works Rhonda stems from my LBS having looked at them in the flesh. It's a hefty chunk of steel. HEFTY. No way will it be flexy...
It's also much, much nicer in the flesh. Nowhere near as glossy as the photo would lead you to believe. Thought the TIG was appropriate for the bike.

Just found a guy with the stem on a Seven. But will probably look better on 1 1/8th.

Looks rad.
May have missed this, what wheelset are we considering?

That's not the simworks, it's a Cielo stem

looks like a kalloy uno

yeah, but it has the advantage of not being a kalloy

you disappoint me sometimes
do you want to buy a dirty rhonda with cable stop in 130mm?

Oh yeah lol. Duh. Simworks reposted the photo.. because of the tyres. Ignore that. Similar aesthetic though. RIP Cielo.
@Matt budget doesn’t allow for new wheels right now. So just the 32h DT 460/105 wheels I have. Which to be fair, are lovely to ride. I can feel a slight delay in the pawls/ratchet picking up when pedalling though which is quite annoying sometimes.
Would quite like some Easton R90SLs laced to White Industries. I’m done with Belgium’s. Nice, but their spotty availability does not fill me with any confidence. I’ve read very very good things about the Easton’s too.
Good to hear about the J&L. That's what I was looking at...
