  • Steel frame, alu post. Obviously these are now bonded together after a winter in a leaky garage.

    I don't want to actually remove the post - the fit is good and I'm happy with what is really a town/towpath beater. That said, does anyone have an horror stories to share that would put me off riding around on the jammed post? I don't THINK it's slipped at all since I've cleaned it all up, but that equates to a max of 50 miles.

    Thoughts?!

  • Initial attempts to remove the post have made the clamp..... well, useless really. Basically I've managed to prise open the diameter of the seat tube so that the clamp no longer fits back over.

    Like I said, it seems fine, but....
