Initial impressions of the Hypex - I think it's got a little more gain than the Tripath it replaced, now I've adjusted the sub to this it's sounding really good.
Seems to have more channel separation between left and right, a more distinct soundstage I guess. Highs are very clear and distinct. Need to run the Tannoys full range without the sub to get a better sense of the low end. Sounds great anyway. Probably an amp for life if I can ignore the need to fiddle with things and swap boxes. From what I've read it doesn't care what you hook it up to, from 110dB horns to Linn Isobarik or electrostatics, it'll drive them all without batting an eyelid.
