Which Boris signed off on months ago...
There is no other way with GB leaving the food standards and many other parts of the single market.
Priti Patel also said there will be no leniency for anybody, including vulnerable people, that miss settled status acceptance end of June 2021
A broken promise from Boris he said there'd be no chance.

Yet another in the growing catalogue of blatant lies we’re continually being fed.

I'm massively surprised.

Who would have predicted that the people of Northern Ireland
would be thrown under the Brexit Bus? -
• #26756
Living in NI, I’m not remotely surprised. I would expect that the majority of my friends feel the same.
Same old shit. -

Good... of course Gove is already deflecting.
Basically EU citizens in the UK are denied benefits against EU rules in the WA, EU isn't happy and is gonna sue.

Sure, Carson was thrown under the bus nearly 100 years ago, it has form ;)

Yup. Same shit, different day - SSDD 😁

Gove is indeed deflecting. Such a slimy, nasty piece of work. What a pleasure it would be to see his smug grin slapped off his smug face. He makes my skin crawl🤢:

In fairness the EU countries also have to stick to the agreement, but not all have auto loss of rights if you miss the deadline...
But sure, whataboutery when your own party and ex leader started this shitshow and refused to sign off on rights of the Brits abroad is grand.
Gove promised free uk citizenship to us eu furrin's when he ran for party leader election last year. Guess he says what he thinks helps him, not what he means...

Rumours about customs checks in NI poets are unfounded says English government minister. Ok so those are a given then ;)

Well, FFS. If they really enforce the "health insurance" rule, which the EU has already said does not apply as the NHS covers everyone ordinarily resident in the UK this is going to cause problems for quite a few people.

Boris Johnson is asking EU nationals to come back to the UK.
The guy really has the capacity of self-reflecting of a wet and windswept daily mail.
-
• #26766
It’s all so depressingly shortsighted - we don’t want you, but we need you. And we’ll make your lives as tricky as possible if you do us the honour of returning to Brexit Britain.
Aaarghhhh!

It is easy to understand if you consider certain groups (including UK born citizens) are semi-people that they just need to work for pittance and not complain.
Of course, you will suggest to them it is the fault of the equally struggling Polish person that lives in the same area as they do, but is not "like them". Even though you are both white/culturally similar, one is a true native and one is not.
I am hoping this is the end of it now once the new system is in place. Would suck to after all this see a similar wave of such newspaper propaganda stories/condoned government nastiness against other immigrants and all the division it causes between people. If the narrative the new ones are "under control" gets bought, then hopefully not.
Perhaps that came at a high price, perhaps it will calm the whole discussion down. Or...they will make up another story to justify some new discrimination...

Not me, I usually put your details in them.
And, to add further insult, there has been the admission there will be checks on goods crossing into NI.
