Chromecast Audio or turn table > TC754 Preamp > miniDSP > Hypex > Tannoy IIILZ + powered sub I built myself.

Old and new! I've never really understood how the minidsp fits into something like this...
Is it like this?

CCA into minidsp
Minidsp as a digital crossover into multiple channels in the amp (and directly to sub)
Amp to individual cones within the speakers bypassing the internal crossovers

You could do that, I just use it as an active crossover splitting the signal between the Tannoys and sub. Tannoys have their own original passive crossovers to split the Hypex signal between tweeter and bass/mid driver.
