  • This is… actually good

  • Yet again, ruined by the 'Automatic' font

  • It will probably be £550

  • I don't understand why these are being referred to as bezel-less as if this is a new design. I thought about half of Seiko 5 have no bezels?

  • Send it to Simon Freese, be careful with local/old watch shops, they are brilliant in principle, but I had a couple of bad experiences in the past

  • Guess it's referring specifically to the new line of Seiko 5 Automatic's with this case shape and size.

    I like 'em.

  • Ah, I thought we were talking eye-balling from a foot or two more so than under a loupe.

  • I don't know much about the movements but, purely from a design PoV, I'm loving' all of these...

  • Why the Sinn UX bounce? Oil viscosity?

  • £230 here

Can probably be found cheaper, especially if you live in the US.

  • Yet again, ruined by the 'Automatic' font

    And not the 5 logos?

  • All quartz second hands bounce to an extent but as you say, the oil viscosity amplifies the effect.

  • They've sized them down to 40mm I see. I like the tweaked hand design as well. "Automatic" script aside, I think that's a great daily wearer for a couple of hundred quid.

  • Something must have been wrong with my eyes... now it seems bang on. Is it possible that after setting the time it needed a bit to adjust?

Anyway, it’s definitely staying for now.
Quick shot for an early Friday wristwatch check.
It is my first ,,serious” watch as too.

  • That looks great .. any chance of a shot of the clasp?

  • The dial is really black and the glass is not visible most of the time. Sick.
Here’s the clasp - I had to remove 1 large link and 1 small one to make it fit. There’s no micro adjustment, but the small links make it pretty versatile anyway I think.

  • I really, really, like it.

  • That is sick. Nice shot too.

  • That. Is. Bangin'

  • Perfect. The simpler the better with GS it seems.

  • Sitting pretty! Congrats!

  • It’s a shiny bastard too. Can’t wait to see it in the sun.

  • Looks great. Congrats! Almost makes me miss my SBGR053! Prefer the bracelet on yours to the polished center link GS bracelets.

  • I think that's a great daily wearer for a couple of hundred quid.

Out of interest, what does this offer that the other sub £150 seiko 5s do not? Loads on eBay around the £100 mark. £200ish seems like a difficult price point.
