Ah! Thanks, I truly enjoy scouting (and riding) new routes, I get bored of the same route over time.
This is the smoothest trail I could identify this year - The best trails/lines change after every winter.
You could ride this with 28s, 32/35s to go a bit faster.

Is there a recommended bike path/gravel/bridal way/non-paved trail path up to Epping that people would recommend (from Hackney/Walthamstow/Leyton)? Something for 35/38ish tyres. I have a route from Wanstead Flats to Epping that I used to do a few years ago. The first half or so was perfect from meory, but it becomes more of an MTB route as you go on.
Also, @giofox, after a bit of spying I must say your ridewithgps history is full of some awesome routes!
