Spring bar tools. They look like a great way of fucking up your strap and your watch case. Why are they made of steel? I would have thought a reinforced plastic of some kind would be kinder.
Then I find a video of someone using dental floss to do it
- putting two loops of floss around the bar then pulling it back in to the centre of the strap.
Anyone tried this? Pretty neat I thought, although I guess it's not going to work on a bracelet.
Are there other creative and non-destructive methods for strap removal? - other than qr straps I guess.
I was going to be sarky and say "buy a Seiko and enjoy the drilled lugz" but I now see the watch in question is a Seiko that does not have drilled lugsā¦
