"Reputedly the first one built" and the frame number is in accordance with the dates, but this is what the person I bought it from said. I have the catalogue and a few other bits and bobs. I have replaced the leather strap to the headset with a nylon one, but kept the original for reference. It was fraying and probably not safe so I replaced and kept for those wishing to get a replica made.
It is just slightly too small for me (I am 5'10inches) having ridden a Royal Large once years ago I recently bought this, which matches the "large" measurements here - http://www.pedersenbicycles.com/specifications.htm
It is in top condition and is fully 100% restored and serviced with modern parts and wheels with a nice silver paint job. Here are some pictures of the bike.
It is 8 Speed, grip shift (modern), hub gears.
