When people go 700c to 650b they'd talk about how it lowers trail and increases stability with a front load, maybe going from 26 to 650b has the opposite effect and is twitcher? Again I don't know.

This was my thinking. Might try a longer stem and see if that changes anything.

Does 11mm (5.5mm change in ride height?) make that much difference?

Science says no, but IME a low(er) BB can make a big difference in cornering confidence. I imagine the Inbred has a high BB to start with?

This. It gets more twitchy. It's not much, but on 90s mtb frames for example it can get too hectic, because they are already muchos nervous.

So it handles more twitchy at low speeds and gets more stable at higher speeds in comparison to a lower trail, no!?

I guess the effect of wheel flop will be more noticeable at low speed.

Could you, in theory, counteract that by getting a new fork with more rake?

That's right, but probably only worthwhile if you're replacing the fork anyway I guess.

Wheels built, and front tyre mounted. I would say it's ok. But the 2.25 only measures 2.15. lets see how the rear is. But in the lag between everything arriving I've picked up some 48mm gravel kings as fall backs.

LF a suggestion/buy advice:

I need an entry level 650b wheelset that works with Shimano 11 speed, front 15x100, rear QRx135. Better 6 bolts as I've got rotors already.
Not fussy about being tubeless but might have a go with.

That's still a pretty big tyre installed. Enough clearance for the dry I presume but if it gets slightly damp will you tear your fork in half?

I added 60ml of sealant to the rear tyre the other day and it seems to be holding air much better. I'm an idiot though as I should've taken that opportunity to switch the valve as that's where it seems to leak the most. Now I reckon I'll just try and wear these slicks out before sticking something more gravel-oriented on.

You are probably right, and the rear should be even tighter.

Depends what you're riding on. On the road you don't really pick much stuff up on the sides of the tyres so you can get away with a couple of mm if your wheels are stiff enough. Off road though you'll need more and in the wet you might want a lot more.

Better 6 bolts as I've got rotors already.

The nice thing about CL is that you can use either rotor type with an adapter vs 6 bolt where you’re stuck with only one type.

Oh the zip ties... Other than my obsessive love of a zip tie. DI2 routing on the right chain stay, and keeping the disc cable up on the left. Probably could loose the odd one.
