Excellent idea! Maybe even an opportunity for a lockdown project to refinish it? Remove that heavy duty poly finish and give it a bit of oil or some other nice finish?

So my mum was cleaning out various storage cupboards and came across this bass that I used when I was in a band at school and kind of forgot that I had.
There's a lot that I like about it but it's not really anything special, other than memories associated with it - for example the hole in the body where it was hit by a drunken darts player during my last pub gig. The pick-ups etc were nothing special at the time and the pots need replacing as they're very crackly l. I'm thinking that I may get some okay pickups and pots for it and re-wire it completely. Does the hive mind think this is a silly idea?
