  • Personally I prefer beaches without facilities that you have to hike into anyway.

So do I assuming I am not fighting to find space on the beach at the other end. Like I said it's scenic and I've had a beutiful nights bivvy there doing astrophotography but if I am packing the family up in the car for a daymaking sandcastles, it wouldn't be my first choice

  • I think this is what most people are thinking though, and in most places. 'Oh well lets go to the beach/park/woodland/town centre that's not got the facilities and is harder to get to because it will surely be quieter' but everyone has had that idea so they're rammed. Like the centre of London, to begin with it was quiet, then everyone had the perfect idea to head in by bike or go for a drive and take pictures of the empty streets, but lots of people thought that was a brilliant niche idea and so it was busier than they would expect.
