Had a lot of good times with this but now the kids are too big and the dog has nearly had it so time to get my XC bike back to normal.
For those who don’t know this was the predecessor to the Surly Big Dummy, a bolt on kit to turn any hard tail bike into a cargo bike. It bolts between the chainstays and into the dropouts. All hardware is included, you just need to sort out extending your chain and fitting tandem cables and hoses.
The deck has been drilled for a DIY child seat arrangement but that doesn’t affect its function. The panniers/slings both have holes in but they can be mended. Also included is a tandem stoker bar for rear passengers and bar ends for foot pegs on the luggage frame. Doesn’t include the Cove, obvs.
