  • Dabbled with selling this on eBay, but despite a fair bit of interest, I haven’t got the price I’m looking for. Could well be the price is too steep, but given the outlay on frame + components, it seems reasonable enough.

Purchased in August 2019, built up as follows:

    • 3T Carbon Ergonova Bars (42cm)

    • 3T Integra Stem

    • 3T Carbon Sqaero Seatpost

    • SRAM Force 1X Groupset (with 11-42 Syntace Cassette)

    • Easton 46T Chainring

    • Easton EC90 Cranks (175mm)

    • Chris King R45 Hubs in gold (front and rear)

    • Carbon Lightbicycle Rims

    • Mavic Yksion Pro 28mm tyres (set up tubeless)

    • Nukeproof Saddle

    • Shimano SPD Pedals

    • Recently serviced in March 2020 & unused since lockdown

    For reference, I’m 6 ft 2.

Looking for £3,600 all in. Pics to follow in next post.

    Cheers all.

  • Probably timing too, I dare say there aren’t all that many potential buyers at that kind of price bracket at the moment.

  • @fizzy.bleach weren't you keeping track of 2k+ bikes which actually sell on here?

  • i had mentioned a few times that such expensive bikes (and bits) don't generally sell on here. last time i did, someone came up with an exception, but it was more in the region of 1k as i recall.

if you're the kind of person with 3.5k to spend on a bike, you probably have even more of that to spare and don't spend your time lurking on bike forums for a deal. you just drop the cash on a new bike. that's my assumption.

i have no idea how good a deal this is. my brain doesn't retain prices above a certain bracket. for example, wheels could be 500 or a grand and to me they're just 'a shitload of money'.

  • Timing certainly not ideal, you’re right.

Thanks for the comments all, appreciate it may well need someone who has had their eye on an Exploro previously to catch sight of it.

  • The last Exploro sale on here went for £1800, and it had two wheel sets. That’s where you should be aiming. I’m sure you can take the more bling parts off if needed. GLWS

  • Thanks, although a quick search suggests that was the base model. The lower end frames from 3T are available new for £2-2500, this one is £4,200.

  • Dibs the pedals
