  • I’ve been looking for a large Omnium mini for sometime now, with no luck. They are a scarce commodity secondhand! I’m thinking about buying one new instead, there are still a couple of UK based shops that are happy to source one for you!

Not that your likely too but I’d avoid buying that mini in Ebay! I was suppose to be buying it as the original buyer pulled out because it was not as described and they weren’t happy with it. The seller didn’t feel that was just!

I spent 3 weeks trying to buy it. First the seat post was stuck, then it was out. Then there was damage to the back wheel, I asked for pictures of the damaged wheel and the seat tube measurements as Omnium don’t currently make a 21”frame. All I got back was “yeah I’ll send you the pictures and it’s a Large”. Never did get the pictures or the correct sizing! Then the rear brake was damaged and he was waiting on new pads, then he wanted me to bleed the brakes once I’d bought it, but wouldn’t shift on the original price at all, before any damage or issues had been come to light.

In the end as he kept avoiding my questions about the seat tube and top tube dimensions, I did a fair bit of research and found out the original mini’s only came in one size. Asked the seller about this and he yet again avoided answering my questions and then finally processed to tell me it was would be fine and belittle my judgement about my own bikes/suitable sizing.

He came across as an absolute time wasting knob!

Needless to say I didn’t buy it!

Anyhow, rant over, good luck with your search! It’s a shame you didn’t post this a few weeks ago, there were 2 medium cargo’s on eBay and a mini-max on gumtree that have all sold now.

  • I actually ended up ordering a brand new frame, gonna build it up from all the parts I’ve got.
