  • This looks interesting...

  • Me neither tbh, but I work on the basis owt reaching top 50 must be worth a try.

  • Cracked open a Cocoa Psycho from BrewDog, espresso Imperial stout.
Black as pitch, quite syrupy, I'm not getting any coffee or chocolate, and it's noticeably a 10% alcohol beer.
It's ok, but wouldn't rush out to get another (although I have another in the fridge)

  • I'll have it. For the price, Cock o' Psycho is great. I go months between having it because I usually add it as filler to an order and then think "why the hell don't I add this more often?!"

  • Very rum.

  • Where did you find that? it looks up my street

  • Sheffield. I'm guessing it won't be widely distributed, as Steel City Brewing is basically one guy doing cuckoo brews AFAIK.

  • This is good.

  • Hah!

  • Belgium in a box delivery came today, order placed 10 May so not terrible. I now have lots of Chimay and the correct glass and a couple of Gueze.

  • The Red Hand in Dalston is back open for carry out. I got carried away because they had so much good stuff. 3 year old and two year old Orval, Cantillon for 15 quid a bottle and FINALLY I got a bottle of Black Ops. Been on the look out for years.

  • Interested to hear what you make of the Black Ops; my local(ish) bottle shop had a couple in last time I was there, but they were a bit rich for my blood.

  • That Cantillon isn’t going to last long at that price!
Dropped in last week and got 4 pints of Verdant pale ale for a tenner, amazing deal. Only picked up a couple of cans because I couldn’t carry much but there was tons of great stuff, need to go back

  • Will report back on Black Ops. I am excited.

Yeah the deals on growlers were great, all the stuff was at fair prices.

  • Oo enjoy the black ops!

  • Haul! Enjoy!

  • Allotment Pale (x2) then Shindigger with Rhubarb gin chasers.

    Edit: co-op best value beers

  • In normal times, a north downs bike ride is not complete without a stop in one of the village pubs (The Volunteer in Sutton Abinger being a personal favourite). Normally something light from the Tillingborne Brewery is on the cards.

With all the pubs shut, today we dropped in for a socially distanced couple of milk jugs. Now being enjoyed in the garden back home.

  • The Pigeon in Camberwell are open for takeaway. They've got some decent Belgian and German stuff at great prices.
