• When a shop or manufacturer describes a frame size as being something "square" (or 54x54 for example) is that c-c measurements for both top and seat tube?

    Is the 54x54 size in the attached chart really a 56cm frame in common parlance?

  • The problem is β€œ56cm in common parlance” is pretty ambiguous. Can mean C-T, can mean real or virtual top tube, can be just a nominal value that doesn’t relate to an actual measurement on the frame.

    I’d expect β€œsquare” to mean A1 and B are equal, but likewise it can just mean a traditional frame with a high-ish horizontal top tube.
