Might be an unpopular opinion but:
Just use a (partial) frame bag instead.
Hip bags are a trend that will die shortly.
Sweaty waist can fuck off. -

I bought a custom hip bag from the very catchily named @user71349 you can see their handiwork in this thread it's served me well so far, can confirm that it's 100% waterproof if that's something you're after.
I know Restrap make hip bags but they come with a built in belt/strap so more like a bum bag rather than something that attaches to a belt. Depends on what you're after. -

@user71349 will sort you out with a bespoke top quality bag no problem

Uh if it’s a trend then it’s certainly hard to find them... I’m ok thanks, I’ve been using a hip/leg bag I bought off shamazon for years and feel like something less yuck.

@ltc @user67706akajimmythegrin Aha yes I’ve already messaged them. Thanks 👍

I love the basket bag I got from Dan, daily use and absolutely brilliant.

Another recommendation for Dan @user71349 He made a phone pouch and large tool pouch for me. They are both amazing quality.

I would second this, found my BRP hip pouch the other day and wondered how I did 70-80 mile rides with that hanging off me. Then again, how did I do 70-80 brakeless fixed miles... frame bag/little bar bag is the way.
I have also got a T level bar bag that converts into a fanny pack/hip bag which I really like.

Australian made hip pack/bar bag/saddle bag/bum bag/fanny pack.
Who’s making hip bags these days?
I did a search and saw a few threads from some crafty forum members but they were all quite old and I didn’t want to necro a dead thread.
Would love to buy something from a forum member but if not then has anyone got any recommendations for UK based indie bag makers?
