I've got an american version of a santander cycle someone can have. It's legit and was used as part of a bid process to replace the current bikes a couple years back.
It's lighter than the uk version but still a tank and I've removed the decalsI'm in croydon, so great for mayday staff
Might have missed the boat as I've only just seen this

I have two kids bikes outgrown by my friends twin girls. They need cleaning up and servicing.
Happy to donate for key workers' children.
Collection from E17 or could arrange to drop off locally.

Hey Chas, I have had a couple of people at around 5 feet tall, how small are these? They can sometimes work for adults. My mum rides an Isla Beinn 26" :)

Hi William, I think these are 24" wheel bikes so likely to be too small for a 5' adult, sadly.
Edit: Halfords website suggests up to 4'9". If someone wants to try, no problem at all.

24 inch wheel bikes can be a good fit (better than a small frame on a larger wheel) for women around 5 feet tall, but will usually need a longer seatpost fitting so the saddle is somewhere near level with the handlebar. A female-specific saddle might be a good idea too.

I’ve got a load of tyres that I’m looking to get rid of. Might they be of any use to anyone?
-
• #88
Are they new / good condition? What Sizes?
-
• #89
All pretty decent condition. Pretty much all 700x23c. I can have a proper look and update with more accuracy, if desired :)

Not in need of any narrow tyres at the moment, but thanks :)

Hi all,
This is a bit of a long shot but anyway... I'm a doctor who moved to France a few years ago. At the beginning of this year, I decided that I would also come back to work part-time in the NHS and the result of this is I am now "commuting" on a regular basis between Paris and Yorkshire for the duration of this contract (6-12 months, depending how it works out). As it's not a permanent position (yet - it partly depends on my perspective of how the commuting goes), I don't want to figure out a load of permanent stuff (e.g. housing, buying a car, bike, etc etc) and am thus using airbnb for accommodation. I've now found a great place that's not too far from my place of work - but is too far to walk. I'm therefore wondering if anyone has a Brompton (or other foldable bike, as I'll need to be able to transport it easily on trains etc) that I might be able to borrow for the next few months? I pass through London regularly so it would be possible for me to meet up to collect, produce my NHS badge and so on.Please pm me if you're able to help as I don't check the forum that often and thus the pm will get sent direct to my email.
Many thanks in advance!

Was going to give props for the ultracommute until I read it properly. :)
There is a Brompton rental service isn't there? I see them sometimes advertised at train stations in lockers. No idea if it is a good service or not? -

Hi there, I’m a key worker currently based in London working for the NHS and was looking for a bike to help with commutes. I’m a 5 ft 4 female.
Was looking to buy a hybrid bike between £200-400, size 49cm to 52cm. Ideally with mudguards. Was wondering if there are any going in that price range? Thank you!

Hi all, I'm still open for bike donations, and last weekend reached the small milestone of 25 bikes serviced (full rebuilds in some cases) and given away to NHS staff. My waiting list is growing and now it's darker I need to give people lights, plus locks as someone has come back to me after her free bike was nicked. Grr.
SO I've started a crowdfunder here
Your help will go towards the mounting collection of half built bikes missing wheels, cables and saddles filling up my studio, PLUS buying some decent bikes for tall and small people who have been on the list too long. Thank you! Peace and love x
