  • Considering I've been accused of something I haven't done, again, by claimed association, I feel like it's perfectly reasonable to defend myself.

    1. I have never trolled the depression thread.
    2. I did not post in the "Jew" thread.
    3. I did not post in the IndyRef thread - I can't find it to confirm this for sure but I remember steering well clear at the time.
    4. Given that I myself have been the victim of institutional, spoken, and violently physical racism as far back as I can remember (my earliest memory of this is being hauled off my bike as a 5 year old in the local park by a group of older boys who then let their dog chase me through the park), I find it absolutely vile that I would be accused of racism. I have never called anyone a "jock" or a "sweaty" or any other racist or xenophobic term.
    5. I have posted enough rants in the rant thread to fill 12 pages, so suggesting I only posted in there specifically to troll someone is absolute horseshit. I've even gone back and re-read through that whole bit about the children in the restaurant and I asked a completely acceptable question unrelated to anyone or other conversations after which I was jumped on by the poster. To me, if you're going to rip into me, it's open fucking season to return fire.

On that particular subject, perhaps some people might be happier if all rant thread rules of posting were that you're only allowed to rant, agree with someone's rant, sympathise with, or empathise with someone's rant and nothing else.

Furthermore, the so called clique that keeps coming up, with reference to IRL friends and going way back, my supposed co-conspirators all live in South London, they all used to go to South drinks I believe. I lived East and now NE, I went to Souths literally once or twice, but East and Norths drinks were my home. I even lived with other Norths drinks locals and if I could be accused of being in a conspiracy clique with anyone at all it would be Amey, Cake, and Spotter.

As I have stated before, Mashton rode from Brixton to my parent's house once to drop off a Gameboy, other than that I think maybe I gave him a 650c tube on one of the early Bridges rides when it was all frozen and snowy. Chalfie/Damo I met on the Bodeans trip 10 years ago. I don't think I met him again until he dropped off some jeans he was selling at my work in Canary Wharf a couple of years ago. Damo actually trolled me a good amount with Rob Hoops when the aircraft thread was started. To accuse me of being best pals with them, AndyP, T-V, etc the latter two I don't think I've ever met or even directly spoken to on the forum, is ludicrous.

I once got embroiled just 2 years ago (I've been on the forum for 12) in the aforementioned argument with UG and I was instantly accused of being in some conspiracy, I steered the fuck clear of him since. I posted on the bad neighbours thread, unrelated to UG, but he felt it necessary to comment on my post when somebody else replied to mine.

I don't appreciate being accused of doing things I haven't done, some of which are pretty serious accusations.

Just leave me the fuck out of all this bullshit.

  • I have never called anyone a "jock" or a "sweaty" or any other racist or xenophobic term.

I obviously don't have the same experience of racism as you but, honestly, I don't understand the whole "sweaty" thing. Whenever I've been called it or heard people use the term I've calmly and rationally explained why I find it a lazy, unhelpful stereotype and usually get a good apology in return.

But then again I'm not the type of person to bottle shit up, get all upsulted and throw toys out of the pram.
