  • If it does pass the ULEZ there must be something seriously wrong with the test. I guess I could try and get it through. I suspect it would have to go through the test station those guys set up.

  • I've heard a lot of out of town bikers riding later sports bikes complaining about taxi drivers. Personally I don't think they're the worst but I would be foaming at the mouth if I had to drive a taxi all day. I've had similar run in's with minicabs where even if the police are called they manage to give false details.

    That article is basing there figure on 125's, if you look at the hydrocarbons and do some simple maths you'll work out why they don't make high compression big bore 2 strokes any more, they don't even pass the basic emissions test to be on the road from new.

    They may have some way to get it passed but I'm not sure you can take much meaning from the comparisons with scooters. Bear in mind these bikes go through quite a bit of 2 stroke oil keeping the barrels moist.
