Close passes are the riskiest thing I've had on TTs so I'm not sure what a front light would do for me - the rear light provides enough of a target for those dickheads. They banned audio devices too which means no more tunes for me, the knobheads :(
I'm going to have to think of something more dangerous to do that they haven't banned. Maybe change my position to the full superman since they got ride of the 3cm rule. -

It certainly won't help with that, but there are loads of side roads on the H10/2 and the front light probably helps to wake up dozy drivers emerging from them.

Ah, yeah fair point. I don't really know what the Breckland or National 12 courses are like or if I'll even get a chance to race them this year. If you don't see someone my size in fluoro skinsuit you're probably not looking anyway so you're not gonna see my light(s).
I do normally run daytime run lights these days but not at the expense of da aeroz. -

It's aero ?

It's aero ?
As discussed, it's likely adding 0.1% to total drag.

Sorry, and is it removable?
A photo from behind and the complete bike please? -

More pix in race day 😐

Hmm, I think I'll be the judge of that

Is that better than what you have now in some way?
Hang on, TA on a T3?

Depends on whether my disc wheel breaks. It feels and sounds fine, but it has an unhealthy look to it, so I'm working on some contingency wheels. This 6-bolt hub is for the rear, there's a narrow-flange straight-pull hub in the works for the front to make a matching pair with some Chinese crabon rims

narrow-flange straight-pull hub
Is that custom or a modified existing hub?

Tasty. Is it just a new axle and end cups you are having machined?

• #418
Yes

Mmmm v nice

I toyed with the idea, but it turns a simple lathe job into a complex mill job. I might still do 3D printed wings for lolz🙂
I'd like to see @xavierdisley 's A/B tests with and without the axle wings...

We have CFD data on the end caps - it's not loads but we did measure it! I think it's on the old data computer so not sure if I can dig it out or not :(

Maybe we could ask Hambini

Hambini?

If that is a Chosen hub, there is a good chance the endcaps from this hub will fit:

Worst case it's about 500 yards in a 12. That's about what the winning margin was in last year's Welsh 12, so it's definitely a material amount.
I'm throwing away more by using the wrong tyres than by adding a front light, so there's that.
