Are they going to a goddamn shudderfest or are they worth purchasing? I'm going to put the hanger on the fork if that makes a difference.

Interested in the tricross ones if you're selling

If the Belgians can't design a CX fork that works, who can? Putting the hanger on the fork crown solves 99% of cantilever brake chatter anyway.

I have them, they're... fine. Maybe a bit portly. Hard to quantify as they changed the geometry of the bike and I moved to bigger tyres.

You'll be most welcome to them.

Great. Thanks. I've opted for the carbon ones.

I swapped out my 175 7800 cranks for some 172.5 TAs. 80% less pedal strike when riding in the woods. Not sure if I like them aesthetically as much however.

Think I’m gonna go for a vagabond, don’t mind the current orange if there’s any left. 29x2 with mudguards, bull moose from CDF and 1x11 SLX I reckon. Like that there no weird standards so all the stuff from CDF will just swap over. Just to decide on what hard wearing, fast rolling but also a little knobbly 29x2 tubeless tyres to go for that don’t cost a fortune....
Do we reckon it would take a 100mm travel fork for occasional mtb jaunts? Struggling to justify the 26r cotics space in the garage considering how rarely I ride it.

Bontrager XR1 or Maxxis Ikon

Did you find time to re-peser your amazing decathlon foco 1.190kg frame ?

I’m in the process of replacing this Shimano 600 headset with a tange falcon and the fit is ever so slightly too loose - didn’t need to use a press. Any solutions for this - locktight ? Cheers

Sure it's the right headset? ISO vs JIS.
1" threaded ISO headsets have 30.2mm outside diameter cups, whereas JIS have 30.0mm. Might explain the loose fit.
ISO is the most common 1" threaded headset standard, and you might've bought a JIS headset.

I've been asked to recommend a new bike for a friend who's getting into cycling now that pubic transport is less fun.
I'm a bit out of the loop and I didn't realise Ribble no longer sold those nice 7005 Audax bikes. What's the current go-to equivalent? Has to be new, fast-ish, under a grand, and take a rack and guards. Any suggestions?

Grips found and fitted. ODI aero bar lites, they are much nicer than holding the bare bars unsurprisingly.
A few rides in and whilst the riding position is actually ok, I find myself pondering whether I'd have more fun with a flat or riser bar fitted.

I've got some of that btp tape. It's reasonably hard wearing, good in the wet, but when it's cold and dry it's pretty slippy with gloves on.
