I'm sure the parents of Ismail Mohamed Abdulwahab loved him just as much, but weren't in a position of privilege to ignore the rules and kick the doors of the hospital in and be with him in his last moments.
The whole Cummings situation makes me feel ill. Bringing children into it as a last ditch attempt to justify his actions is pathetic.
I'm certain he will get away with it despite the scrutiny of what his wife wrote in The Spectator (I'm not a subscriber so can't read the article)
I think that's why they have pivoted to "it was because he loved his child very much", as it was clearly flouting the guidelines (and, it has to be said, the law).
