Looked him up and listened to "For Concrete and Country" on discogs before work in the morning, will be back for more. Something I will have to add to my vinyl wishlist.

I remember first watching this movie round a mates house. Must have been about 1988 or 1989. Totally blown away. Instantly became one of my favourites ever. The whole soundtrack is awesome and is still so awesome now. Looking forward to introducing my son to it when he’s old enough. Pretty violent and upsetting now I think about it (Optimus Prime dying 😭).

My Dad took me to that in Odean Holloway rd. I was enthralled, my Dad fell asleep and in a crucial moment woke him up with a big loud start kind of killing the moment itself.

Haha. Brilliant!
I was thinking about some cinema memories recently. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves at the ABC or Odeon in Streatham, Little Mermaid as well (which my son is obsessed with). 12 Monkeys and Heat at the ABC in Croydon - think we might not have been old enough but they were slack.
And The Last Crusade at a tiny cinema in Fishguard in Pembrokeshire in West Wales. With my mum. Sat on her lap, upstairs - pretty sure she was smoking. Have let the little one watch that (except the awesome exploding into dust scene - for when he’s a bit older) - that’s our new favourite. Only watched it about 15 times since lockdown started.
I also did have a dialogue about Transformers The Movie with Prince Charles Cinema. Years ago now, but there were issues with locating UK rights holder. I just bought it digitally on Amazon. No idea if that changes anything for public screening, but will have to enquire with PCC again. Watching that there would be up there with watching The Thing or Braindead in terms of pure nostalgic joy.

Used to stand by that as the best Batman film. But despite Prince soundtrack and Nicholson it’s actually a bit shit

have you heard the Cannibal Ox album, The Cold Vein? El-p did all the production for this album and heavily sampled the transformers soundtrack https://youtu.be/FBJghl_wmto
