Some variety of crimp connector to add an extra bit of wire to the too short bit?

Some extension wires, a dash of solder and a bit of heatshrink would be my preferred lazy option.

I would put spade connectors on.
The Forumslader guy (thats the supposedly very good diy dynamo charger from a German nerd) has a german manual how to tune the iqx to make it work better with the charger.
I didn't get why and what the changes are, but its a nice (albeit German) teardown with pictures in pdf form that might tell you how much work new wires would be.

I was thinking of remounting my IQX but the wires are now too short. How do I go about getting the wires longer? Connector of some sort? New wires inside light? Have Googled but not found anything yet
