I use the men's versions of these and they're ace, no mesh panels. I assume the women's will be likewise judging by pics and reviews.

They do 3/4 length too

^^ and ^^^ Cheers for the responses.
I listen to podcasts as I run which helps. I think practice, and repetition will be the solution, but was wondering if i had missed anything beyond that. -

I would add having trust in the process and having patience.
Personally going through a plan to build my base over quite a long term. This has meant all my runs are at 75% of my max HR. There are many days where I am tired and showing little improvement. People either scoff or tell me my plan is no good.
Have stuck with it and showing some good fitness gains. -

The heartrate sensor on my Garmin 737xt has become very intermittent following two updates (both in the last two weeks). Should i just reset it or are there any other tricks.
Yes i know the answer is to wear a HR chest strap

What’s the forum approves running chaff cream?
On my 25km+ runs I’m getting a bit of rubbing on my legs from the short liner, presumably because of the heat / sweating. I tried chamois cream but it didn’t seem to do much today.

Found some. Stang my whole left arm. Let's see what happens.

So far, lots of stinging has happened.

Another vote for Bodyglide. I have two things of it, one for swimming (for using where the cuffs/neck of the wetsuit will inevitably rub when open water swimming, and for the bit just under the armpit where it gets rubbed by the back of my tricep for pool swims over an hour).
The other one is for running where it gets applied to places where the sun don't shine (and I don't want to wipe the same stick round my neck next time I go swimming). Only ever bother with applying it for runs over HM distance. HM distance and beyond is also when I start applying micropore tape to cover the nipples (although if it's raining I've had problems on something as short as a 10k run).

Although my 'at pace' is mediocre to slow seeing what others are doing.
Some of them yes. I'm still yet to be back under an hour for 10k runs, and even then I only ever got down to just under 55 minutes. Not everyone here is fast.

I am aware of that really, and I have no intention of putting anyone down. I suppose i get frustrated that im not instantly quick, and that I find it hard. Logically I wouldn't expect to be fast as I have mainly been doing the wrong exercise for running success, Hockey, Football, and Squash are more fast twitch. And Im pretty average on my bike, slow up hill normal on the flat, which says a lot about my endurance.

Good shout on the body glide! Forgot I have some already stored with my wetsuit!

a gentle small nettle sting
I'm not sure more is better in this case. I do hope it helps though once the stinging eases off.

I was going to strip off and roll around in them. Thought a forearm was a good compromise.

Spent an hour running up and down various small hills for the club challenge- max ascent in 5 miles, no hill repeated more than twice. Another lad bagged the hills behind my house so I went somewhere new. Managed 1150ft/350m. I’m knackered and it was the least satisfying run of my life.

Ha, that sounds awful. Running hills is fine but running down sucks.
You need these lol:

Obligatory WHAT ARE THOSE?!
I like running up hills, I like running down hills. I don’t like weaving up and down a shitty bit of incline. Absolutely no rhythm or chance of getting in your groove.
Bah! Beer time.

After spending quite a lot of time over the last few weeks looking for a cheap deal on a Garmin watch for my wife, as she said she didn’t really want to spend more than £70-100, we went through the options and features and she decided in about 10 minutes that she actually wanted to spend £220 and get a Vivosmart 4s.
I’m worried I’m going to be jealous of all the features now.

My Fenix III simply won't die, or go wrong, or really look underfeatured in any major way.
I had a moments hope when it seemed to get a bit picky about charging - but it recovered from that.
It doesn't seem to understand that I'd like a new toy.

I loved the sound of this challenge! Would manage around 4m around here

They're crazy solid arent they? My 5 is fantastic too but I regret not sticking with my 3 all the time. Total waste of moolah.

Any recommendations for an Akrose of the running shoe world? Just something cheap and basic until I remember that I hate running or realise they don't fit properly?
-
• #22800
I bought these to tide me over until I can get to a shop and get a fitting done proper
Ah fuck what other people are running. So long as you're enjoying yourself thats the main thing.
Work on the long slow runs, pop on an audiobook I find that helps on my longer ones.
