  • LOL @ "Wilhelm +5 consists of 7x5-minute repeats at 108% FTP separated by 5-minute recovery" after FTP bump. I think it was better than last time I did this jump, in that I managed 1 full interval and a second one with a pause before quitting.

    I'm not sure how much thought they put into the base -> build jump. Think they should start with either reduced number of intervals or reduced duration for the first x weeks.

    I'll have another crack at the next one and then decide whether or not to bother or just do another 6 weeks of sweetspot.

    With no races for the foreseeable future, I've given up on the Trainerroad training program, and am mainly doing sweetspot sessions. I might up the intensity in a month or so, but I'd be surprised if there are races this year. Hard to see how you can socially distance in a cross race.

  • It'd be easy for me, I'd be so far out the back it'd be a solo ride until I was lapped and then I can go home. ;)

  • Chatting to a friend in Spain tonight: "By the look of things you will be able to travel to Spain from end of June onwards so races are likely to go ahead in my opinion."

    Maybe if I travel with my Aussie passport they won't think I've been using my 'British common sense' and actually be allowed in..
