A bean can have a completely different taste using the 2 methods. Have cold brewed beans that weren't to my liking when brewed hot. Was lovely cold brewed.

Most cold brew I've had has been shit your pants strong. I do like cold brew but only really drink it when it's really hot out and I don't fancy my normal long black.

Cold-brew coffee.
It's just a very slow way of making weak coffee, which reminds you why the espresso machine was invented.
