Forgot to mention that on the final descent yesterday the gear cable snapped in the shifter and I didn't get a chance to replace it before heading out today so I was back on the Capra.

Bigger, better (and most importantly) more bosses!

What's the difference between this and the Solaris Max?
-
• #16510
Angles and strength and weight. The Beefy has always been a proper tank!
-
• #16511
Longer forks and less 853 ( so possibly cheaper )

Moar BRAAAAAPPPPP!!!

strength and weight
I think this is the main thing. Head tube angle is near enough the same. Less than half a degree difference. Though the ST is steeper on the BFe.

Longer forks
I mean yeah I guess so. The only thing helping it have a 160 fork over the Solaris from what I can see is the 1 degree steeper ST and 5mm BB drop

There might be some added reinforcing around the head tube, to cope with the extra leverage?
Certainly plenty of overlap between the two models
Both fail to have an XXL size...

And the 90° seat angle .. wtf?!

Like you'd buy off the shelf anyway

Are you looking at the same bike?

Any interest in the Fathom here before I go to Ebay?

• #16521
Sorry, my mate is 6'2", what size is the fathom?

Where is the ad?

Haven't made one as I assumed htos ein this thread would know the bike or be able to find out elsewhere. Its the 2019 model with less than 50 miles on it.
26 certainly ain't dead. Looks great, love the fire extinguisher airshot thing!
