  • Cheers both, looks more reasonable, just realised the printer is knackered though so can't print any labels. Just going to suck up the Parcel Force price, my mistake.

  • I have just put lots of music from my old computer onto my new one.

On the old one, I used iTunes as the music player, but now I'm starting from scratch again I was wondering if there was anything better (plus I read iTunes is no more - or is that just the music purchasing service?)

I tried with VLC (Windows Store version) at first, but it's annoying me already, it keeps crashing after playing a song and isn't categorising some albums properly (in the 'Albums' view for compilations or soundtracks, it's putting a different album for each artist). I tried the desktop version of VLC Media Player but I find it really user-unfriendly and unintiutive.

    What else is there?

Edit: I think I've answered this myself with MusicBee, but I'd still be open to other suggestions.

  • You can filter the list of quotes to those you don't need a printer for. Corner/convenience type stores often have printers that print the label when you scan a QR code on your phone. I think Amazon drop of lockers work the same way too from memory.
You can get cashback from topcashback as well if you're a member.

  • As loathe as I am to reopen this debate, what recommendations are there for portable air conditioners (this kind of thing rather than wall mounted or whatever https://www.orionairsales.co.uk/aeg-portable-air-conditioning-axp34u338cw-with-remote-control-35kw12000btu-a-240v50hz-11075-p.asp ).

Regardless of attempts to keep the flat cool it just gets unpleasantly hot in the summer and trying to sleep is horrible. I imagine it will be worse this summer if I'm spending considerable amounts of time working from home as seems likely. I don't have any illusions about cooling the whole flat but one cool room as a refuge would be nice.

What to look out for? Are the known brands like AEG or Delonghi worth the money?

  • Cheapest postage option for getting a pair of handlebars shipped from the US to Europe?

  • So it is. Every day's a school day.

  • Cheers. It would be used with sash windows so hopefully a bit easier.

How is it in actual use?

  • It’s fine. Spits out cold air. Easily cools the room. Keeps the place in check. Not silent but they have a job to do.

Window rattlers are better but less flexible. Same goes for two piece systems but they are invasive and fixed.

We went for the quietest and most energy efficient. You can pay £200 less but then it will eat twice the power.

  • looking to buy some nice red velvet cupcakes

anyone knows a decent bakery/patisserie around the E&C/Southbank/Bloomsbury/KingsX axis that's open for takeaway?

  • Give the Old Post Office bakery a buzz, they do vegan bakes and are amazing!

  • Cheers, what model is it?

Were you just measuring energy efficiency by the B, A, etc or something else. All the ones I'm looking at all just seem to be A but all the specs directly copied from the manufacturer's site so a bit awkward to compare anything else. The vast majority of reviews online appear to be from people who have bought one in the winter and not used it yet.

  • De'Longhi Air Con PACCN92_WH From AO

Looked at wattage used vs coverage. The difference between A and A+ rated seemed to be a significant amount in the De’Longhi range.

  • Cheers, looks like comparing efficiency within a brand is possible but comparing different brands the numbers are all over the shop. Will have to see what I can find.

  • Yeah. I think going with a supplier and brand you can trust is important on these things. Huge ball ache to return / repair etc.

  • Hello, anyone know of any outdoor table tennis tables roughly between London Fields and Shadwell?

    Edit: found this

  • Has anyone used Deporvillage before? I’m trying to work out if they are legit or not.

  • Thanks for this. Ended up just going back to the Post Office (a different one), who actually measured the parcels and as they were <90cm in length they could go as a med parcel for £5.20.

  • I've been using Google Play uploading music collection although service is now being migrated to YouTube music. I'm not sure what the free version is like but after having lost my music collection to hard drive failure a couple of times, more than happy to have my music collection in the cloud

  • There are some in the city around cheesegrater and Lloyd's building. Also think there are some in embankment gardens along the river

  • It's legit, but I have a feeling returns could be expensive / a ball ache.

  • I use Plex nowadays but before that I used Foobar2000 which seemed decent.
