and on the subject-the routine baiting of him as a 'sex pest' by the so called 'OG's on here (based on what I understand stems from a text message sent to one person 10 years ago?) isn't just legally actionable but reeks of the same desperate need to shore up your own fragile egos through bullying that you're now trying to accuse me of.

I didn't text anyone, so still not sure of that. No one seems to have put up any proof of those actions. Even when asked to put up or shut up. But the same person can't remember telling me there adress outside the regent while asking for my tobacco, nor a conversation where I took him to one side at the roebuck. But it was ok to mock me when I had my wheels nicked off my bike.

EDIT: There has been such joy as meeting people and getting on till I mentioned my screen name. The worst thing is being told by Velocio of my reputation, yet no one says anything to my face. The final straw was a while back and offered help from a friend who does IP law, and the reaction from the person I messaged was I better not be lieing. Why the fuck would I lie? Have a friend that specialises in IP law why else would I contact someone who needed help, if I couldn't point them in the direction of help. But then I have been called a fantasist too.

To me it didn't come across as trolling, but as know you in real life and defended you I thought of it as a little reminder that we live in close proximity to others. That as that thread is one to vent about inconsiderate people and to hopefully gain some feeling that you are justified in ranting and not being a self centered shit bag.

No one mentioning the trolling of the depression thread, that is members only thread, after moaning on the football thread then going on to the depression thread to troll.

That is acceptable, as no one seems to mention that. But then, I get comments as to my ability to guage someone elses upset as to some one mentioning someone else dead mother. But it is acceptable to use comments/post on the depression thread for points scoring. Didn't I get a ban for searching my name and reporting disparaging remarks that less than 3 people made about me. Then all I wanted was them to stop.

EDIT: @Velocio your message to me was quite upsetting and never admitted it, to myself more than anyone. Why would I message you to lie, as that would have shown me to be the liar that others claimed I was. In what delusional world that you thought I was in would that make any sense? If anything it would give you irrefutable proof that i am a liar and fantasist.

Another EDIT: Yeah yeah, given shit about dealings about french home ownership but seeming to forget the lfgss forum members who stayed at the house for PBP. Learnt a lesson, if I'm such a liar and fantasist, go stay at some one else mythical house.

Yes it was good that he stood up, but you're making it sound as if he was the only brave soul who did it, and that it somehow means we should ignore his behaviour in the intervening years

You are missing the point completely, that people found it acceptable to troll that thread and not fear or have any come back is the point. The mocking of the posters on depression thread after immature (at the best)on the football thread was acceptable, then going on to deride posters on the depression thread was acceptable. That seems to be missed, or overlooked as the ones that did it were the 'OG'. Mocking people who posted on that thread seems to be missed too. You and I have both posted on that thread, would it be any way acceptable for me to mock or deride you for anything you posted on that thread? But I won't go on as others have put me down, my opinion of what counts as morals is to be mocked.

Here is one to think about, next time you see me Tim (yes I'm using your name as others do to make it more personal) don't acknowledge me. Will do the same and I'll make sure never to speak to you or about you again. Maybe you can give me the same curtesy. If you can not at least say things to my face.

All the people who mentioned the last couple of pages that enough had been said on both sides of peoples opinions of Uber, not someone telling me not talk about the shitty trolling of the Depression thread.

I literally called out Pistinator at the time, questioning why the forum even had a rules post if it was one set of rules for friends and another set of rules for everyone else.

It's usually the first or second hit in Google, would be zero loss.

My memory is terrible, which makes me extremely forgiving... I come in without much prior context and just look at whatever the state of play is. I tend not to take sides, largely because I don't think people are fundamentally wrong, or have lied, or anything... there are just lots of different perspectives and probably also things going on in people's personal lives that lead to people to reach different conclusions on things. Most of the time I conclude that the best thing to do is largely nothing... or to ban someone obvious... or to advise people to step back from the keyboard.

I can't recall whatever historical storm in the teapot still motivates you to continue this thread lynx, you do seem to be doing a one-person job of it though. It's a nice day, maybe step back from the keyboard and go ride your bike?

That used to be the way to respond, and it's still a good one... go for a ride and put the forum in perspective, it's just a means of communication, maybe everyone is an ass, maybe we're the asses, maybe it doesn't matter because it's gorgeous outside and it's all about the ride.
