Wasn't just you.
To me it didn't come across as trolling, but as know you in real life and defended you I thought of it as a little reminder that we live in close proximity to others. That as that thread is one to vent about inconsiderate people and to hopefully gain some feeling that you are justified in ranting and not being a self centered shit bag.

I didn't go there to troll.
I was experiencing noise from a neighbour. Realised that my initial reaction was to be a bit miffed, then processed that reaction and realised that my neighbour was enjoying his hobbies, like I enjoy mine. It made me think of the Bastard Neighbours thread and I went there to post my experience and see how people might respond to it.
UG responded. I responded. Shit escalated. I ignored him and the thread. He flounced. You asked for a comment. I am commenting.
Believe it or not. I don't give a flying fuck.
If it was trolling, it wasn't intentional.
