been out for an epic ride today off road from Epsom to Leith Hill tower and back.
Mainly bridleways but hit up some of the singletrack on Leith Hill. I was on my recently renovated dialled bikes Prince Albert in Reynolds 725 #steelisreal. I bought this off dialled Mike (brand owner) when he lived in epsom and worked in the same multi-national as me back in the mid-noughties but it's been used by my youngest son for road duties for years now.
I bought him a new bike earlier this year and converted the PA back to MTB duties including setting it up as tubeless earlier this week. It's old school geometry with 26" wheels, narrow 640mm bars and 3x9 gearing but it was fine for the purposes of today's 60km ride with 1,000 metres of climbing

I'm normally okay getting tyres inflated with just my track pump but these two were a bit more problematic so I borrowed a mates fire extinguisher converted to a compressor (pump it up to 60PSI using the track pump then put the outlet hose on the tyre valve hit the release handle and whoosh up it goes)

yes indeed, here's a bonus pic for you from my reverse head cam. Extra points if anyone can guess correctly where it is (and just saying 'Leith Hill' is not close enough)

First mtb ride yesterday on my inbred, bashed my ankle hard on a pedal and spent a bit of tonight cleaning dog shite from the tyres. Did I get it right?

They do one in purple. Would that be too much?

How tall are they (not a joke)? That's not an awful lot less than I was thinking of letting my 2019 Fathom go for.
