Thank goodness it's too big for me. Phew!

They've produced stuff like that - but non 'leccy - for the German market on and off since forever. Kinda cool when you see one.

Shame they made it look so awful. Compare it that thing that Henry is selling. No reason this kind of bike has to be so gopping.

That's about half of the classifieds at any given moment ;-)

I'd have this off you in a flash if I wasn't covid-unemployed. Maybe stick it back in the cupboard for another 6 months.

• #12639
I actually think that looks ok, plus it's absolutely spot on for the market.

(i might have spent too much time around Khalkoffs)

whats the price? how 'bad' is the head shock?
-
• #12645
Saeco is spoken for, thanks for all the interest.

Presuming it's the same tech they are very good - there is no bend or slop in them at all, they are light and generally they are very smooth and well damped.
50hr service interval though....as with any suspension fork makes them a liability on this kind of bike.
-
• #12647
Assuming the "integrated" mudguards might actually have a good fit to the fork, and a good seal on the boot, I wonder how long they would actually last in normal use
-
• #12648
As long as the air spring seal and the Schrader valve holds out. The oil damper will dump its contents after 200hrs or so but you can keep running it without any damping :)
-
• #12649
Boingy forks seem like needless complexity when you've got 2" tyres and pretty much no weight on your hands. Similarly, parallelogram seat posts don't look like a real advance on sprung saddles.

I can ask if you’re really interested?
It’s 2019, last year of CAAD12 production. They made them black or purple for that year.
