I'm liking the lack of electrical tape here.

why the bell in the drops?

No, I have a Stanridge road bike too. I also had my old CAAD3 MTB built up for a bit but can’t really deal with its crazy geo any more.

Best place for it in the city. Don’t have to move my hand off the hood to use it - let’s face it, if you need to ring your bell you need to be ready to brake.
Always puzzles me why people place it by the stem - you’d never do that on a flat-bar bike.
My road bike is set up the same way. Try it... -

Cheers, first time doing the superglue thing. Electrical tape is involved, you just don’t see it - it’s what you glue the bar tape to so that you don’t ruin your bars.

Drop bar bell inspiration. The Pomp looks good in all your configurations.

Every iteration of this bike has been great. So fun to watch the journey.
You've actually got me thinking that swapping my fixed wheel to freewheel would be more fun too.

This build is the only reason I keep my Pompino of this vintage...one day..

Any updates on this?
Re read the whole thread and once again, what a mad bike.

Barely, I've just been riding the shit out of it! Glad you like it.
Rain, shine, sleet, snow, this thing gets me almost everywhere. The simplicity of maintaining this bike is not lost on me, it's very easy to look after. Stays remarkably clean.In terms of new stuff, it's had a few goodies added in the last couple of years;
Fizik Argo Tempo 'Les Classiques' saddle
Shimano PD-M540 in Bronze
GravelKing SK in Green
A few GSC Voile straps
Hubs relaced to destickered Open Pro CDs
Crashed once or twice so the rack's a bit wonky
Finally settled on swept bars with a great bell location
The frame won't take stickers but the parts will

Original plan was for grey TB14s but they're seemingly NLA, and the latest batch of grey ano from them was nearly black.
Nice day today so I took it out for some photos.
Is this your only bike?
So bloody good regardless
