  • My wife's decided she'd possibly like an electric bike for commuting to work, and has also been looking at Swytch conversion kits for her Dawes Espresso. Had a quick search and couldn't find too much on here about them - any got any experiences with them? Or are there any other conversion kits people can recommend?

  • Whilst no particular kit to mention, front wheel drive hubs are the simplest to fit but not the best.
Rear wheel drive kits are less simple due to gearing etc.

I do not have too much experience of mid drive but someone I know well has fitted a few and has not found too much difficulty.

  • Dawes Espresso

If she is happy to sacrifice the bottle cage mount, Bafang mid drive kit is the best thing for conversion. I did a lot of research on this then decided to buy a fully integrated eBike .. still playing with an idea to put that kit on my cargo bike.

You can also get a pannier rack battery.
