Yeah 2500km on a large chainring isn't great, but if you've been pretty slack at looking after your chain you're going to see some accelerated wear.
It doesn't look totally cooked to me though - I reckon you've worn your cassette more than anything. A very worn chain will wear out a cassette very quickly. Try replacing that first - if it doesn't solve the issue then chainrings are the next item to swap out.
