never seen anyone successful gambling
I have. I worked on one offshore trip with a guy who played poker, who'd bought some land in Spain and was building a house, paid cash, at 18. There was some genetic thing in his family, no males reached beyond age of 30. They were all massively overweight, he must have been getting on for 25 stone aged 22
He also ran a follow me bet page on Facebook which a few people on the vessel were a member of and everyone was significantly up on their initial stake
What annoys me is the government saying that, especially during the lockdown, while we are all stuck at home, they will do their best to ban those ads.
They've not done anything about it and even if they did, I am sure all TV channels would backdate ad contracts to say that it was approved before said date so it has to run for the next year etc...
I have personally never gambled (online that is) as my grandfather used to always say that's it's a tax for the poor and you'd never seen anyone successful gambling.
I am revved up everytime I see a gambling ad on TV. The fun has stopped a long time ago..m
