• SOLD!

    Hi,

I bought/built this in late last year when I needed a winter commuter after moving back to London. It served me well all winter but is really too big for me. So I'm selling it to give some impetus in looking for something that fits better.

I'm in SE15 and bike is available for socially distanced pickup/test ride (bring your own pedals).

£300 for the build below- or I'd trade for a 56cm F+F if you have anything interesting!

    Pros:
-Pretty light for a frame of its size
-The frame was re-painted a really nice off white/grey by a previous owner.
-Extra third bottle bosses under the downtube (must be custom?)
    -Good condition 35c g-ones
-Mudguard eyelets (I ran it with sks bluemels - not included)
-I took it on a few bridle path adventures and it was a blast
-Has half a DBAD sticker 'disc brakes are...'

    Cons:
-Could do with new brake pads pretty soon
-The BB clicks under pressure (e.g. climbing). I took it out cleaned it, re-greased and tightened and it went away. But its since come back again. There are no cracks in the frame and the threads are fine. If it fit me better I'd keep it and replace the BB/chainset
-I forgot to bring some spare pedals home from work - so it is pedal-less until Monday evening.

    -Specs:
    -Tricross Singlecross 58cm (geo below)
    -Deda finishing kit (100mm stem)
    -Tektro mini-vs
    -Navigator street wheelset
    -Stronglight cranks (42x18)
    -Sturmey freewheel

  • Highly recommend the Singlecross, great for both commuting, SSCX and light touring. The down tube bottle cage mount was included there originally (really novel for 2008 I think).

  • Very ahead of trend.

The RAL of the frame is pebble grey apparently - painted by forum famous @Hulsroy

*edit - pic stolen from his current projects thread

Ditto, commuted and then did Paris-Roubaix on one with 38mm tyres, luxury compared to a road bike.
