Was getting too annoyed by my hair so buckled & had a go myself. Apparently it's a bit lumpy at the back so going to have to give the back a re-clip later today.

Heavy research on YouTube, wrote my housemate a full page of instructions, sat nice and still for three hours.

Not exactly necessary to have a haircut as it wasn't that long, but it was starting to grow over my ears, which I really dislike. Before:

Today's top tips:

1. Read the instructions.
   
2. Always check the position of the taper lever on the clippers before cutting, especially for the top.
   
3. Never leave a man in the field.

I got sick of the pubey fluff growing down the back of my neck so shaved it off this morning. Essentially blind, with left and right hands, with a straight (cut throat) razor*.

I didn't die and it looks not too bad.

• I only use straight razors so there aren't any safety razors in the house.
