PB is made by crushing/ grinding, rather that chopping, no?

I'm not suggesting putting them through your favourite Porlex or Iberital grinder, but you might have more luck with a pestle and mortar.

On a commercial level I think so. There is actually a grain mill for the chef that might work, but apparently it's a bit weak and they always seems to go for a lot when they come up on ebay. Fuck grinding up 1kg of peanuts by hand every couple of weeks.

I always wanted to see a video of an absolute shit load of peanuts turning into peanut butter in a factory but I've never quite found it. Saw some "how it's made" of peanut butter once but it didn't show the money shot.
