You might be able to but I believe it depends on the mech and levers if they have enough clicks.. Can anyone else confirm this? Interchanging road stuff gives me headaches

What a lovely bike. Looks like most of the Dura-Ace AX or Adamas AX group is missing already.
You have non indexed friction shifters so you could potentially go up to 8 speed on the rear wheel with an appropriate derailleur.
At the moment, your Sachs-Huret set up will accommodate up to 7 speed freewheels.
So either a "vintage" 126mm hub with a freewheel or a "modern" 130mm with a cassette (and spacer).It would be easier to discuss on the phone so PM me if none of the above makes sense!!!

I'm a bit of noob, but will this *wheel set work with my bike? Same size but I've noticed that the group has more gears than mine (6)..
