And third is a conversion of an ITM quill stem to 31.8mm clamp.
115mm length, 14deg.
This has an angled top to the quill tube, would originally have had either a metal cap with matching angle or a rubber bung to cover the quill bolt but this was missing when the stem came to me so I’ve machined a brass cap into which the quill bolt sits.

What about with an open front plate?

I know, I keep meaning to do one.
I have s ting where I like to run stem faceplates upside down though so it means I’d have to pretty accurate with placing the binders.
I have a couple quill stems with a bit of rise, I think they would be well suited to removable faceplates so I’ll try do one of them soon.

Have you seen the quill stem I made from scratch? I made it 25.4mm clamp but could easily be made 31.8mm.

When you do give me a call... as that is what I would like.

I don’t believe so, link? unfortunately these are too rich (though totally worth the money by the looks of things) for the bike I intend to use it on!

are those quill stems for 1" steerer?
love them btw. would love one but would need for 1" steerer and around 130mm length

Yeah 1".
I lose a bit of length when I cut the original clamp off and attach the new one but will look out for a stem long enough to make a 130mm one.

These are legit af - where do you buy all the parts to make the stem?
-

The tubing is all aerospace grade seamless 4130 from LAS Aero, the binders are from Ceeway, the brass rod and donor quill stems are from ebay.

Sweet thanks
Trying these again. Can’t seem to reopen my other sales thread so starting a new one.
The metal used for these is aerospace grade seamless 4130 tubing from LAS Aero.
First up, two scratch built ahead stems. Both 90deg, both 31.8 handlebar and both 1 1/8” steerer.
First one has a stack height of 42mm and a length of 100mm.
Stems are £35 each which includes postage within the UK.
