Never had one in the first place, which I guess means I can skip the "again" part ;)
(Though I wouldn't mind a singlespeed CXC with carbon fork and mudguards for a winter training bike)

I've finished building the wheelset for the Shimano 600 AX project. New old stock hubset so with nice light blue plastic dust caps. On used hubs, the color is faded most of time. Higher rims for more Japanese aaaeerooozz.
Note how the hubs are designed with recessed grooves so all spokes go on the same side of the hub. 80's Shimano marketing for increased stifness and equal spoke tension

Just taken the Omnium CXC out for shakedown ride around the park.
Still some bits to do - need to shorten the hoses and tweak the brakes, but despite it's heft it handles really nicely!

First time riding brakeless in 4 years I'd say see how this goes. Just need new saddle maybe, and to get my Thomson stem back on. Wheels could definitely use straightening up too( gulp ) buy you get the idea

Apologies, yes under that rat camo is a brooks c17.
I can't afford to replace it if it got pinched and it's one of the few saddles that really fits me so for the last 3 years it's worn a rank covering.
The bike will also get covered in due course. -

Nice hybrid!

Cheers. I wanted to keep my campag road groupset and build up with drops, but by all accounts campag shifters really don't mate well with mechanical disc brakes so it was more economical to build up with flats (I'm on a bit of a budget)

Ha. I had some of that too for a while, on my Serotta Colorado, as seen here several years (and several guises) ago...

Dusted off my old road bike that had been gathering dust for around six years since I mothballed it. Bit of a parts bin build, but really enjoying the fit and feel so far.
Iβve had some great outings on this, including the tourmalet and itβs nice to have a road bike set up again to bash around during lockdown.
