Makes sense are buying American frames in the UK. I was more comparing their actual asking prices than what it costs to buy in the UK.

Some forfeit their bike. Generally the fine is twice the value of the tax evaded.
You could lose the bike and pay twice the tax.You will be flagged in the system forever.
