The Denon or the MF? I've never heard of MF before but it looks simple and does what I need. I'll probably just keep the Denon until I move.

Possibly interested in this, excuse my naivety here... It has a "Phono" input selection, does that mean I can plug my record player in without going through a preamp?

Yes it has a phono input for a turntable

i wondered if i brought over a cd player to you you could have a look at it

it's nad c541i cd inserts but doesn't seem to register, the cd seems to spin when you press play but nothing happens and no data is projected on the display

laser possibly ? if you are happy to have a look can drop it round anytime thats convenient

Seems like you might be the man to ask.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but my Denon subwoofer seems to have died. Just not turning on. The speakers still work running through it. At least they were until yesterday now one has stopped.

Do you know if this might be reparable and if
Not would you have something to replace it?

Sorry to perhaps state the obvious but, have you checked the fuse in the plug?

Think he ran a large number of listings on Gumtree for audio goods, based in Stratford (Darius)? Otherwise, nothing helpful from me, sorry.

Edit: Had a look and doesn't seem to be on there either.
